LAHAD DATU: Star Sabah’s Tungku Division is confident of wresting the Tungku state seat from Parti Warisan in the coming State Election.
Tungku Star Sabah Division leader cum Star Sabah Vice President Suling Isib, speaking at the party’s thanksgiving ceremony, indicated his readiness to contest while acknowledging that the final candidate selection rests with the party leadership and GRS coalition.
He said that the division would fully support any candidate chosen to represent GRS.
The party has seen considerable growth in local support, with 500 new members joining through 15 registered branches in Tungku.
Suling attributed this increasing popularity to the party’s focus on defending Sabahan rights, particularly those outlined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963, under the leadership of party President Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.
“Our commitment extends beyond political representation to building an inclusive society where all Sabahans can prosper,” Suling said, highlighting Star Sabah’s dedication to promoting both the rights and welfare of the people.
