PAPAR: A 37-year-old Filipino died from multiple stab wounds after a quarrel over RM20 at a palm oil estate housing in Kampung Ulu Lumagar, Bongawan, on Thursday.

District Police Chief Supt Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the estate owner lodged a police report, leading to an operation by the police.

Investigations revealed that the victim confronted the 26-year-old Indonesian suspect over RM20 given by his wife to buy fish and bread last week.

According to the victim's wife, the suspect reportedly did not make the purchase as the shop was closed.

Police are continuing their investigation.
