BELURAN: The police are actively searching for two foreign men suspected of attacking a 50-year-old man and his 23-year-old son with a sharp weapon at their oil palm plantation in Kampung Napagang, Entilibon, Tongod, on Saturday.
Beluran Police Chief Supt Hasan Majid said the Telupid district police station received a report from a local woman stating that her husband and son were stabbed by their workers using a metal tool for harvesting oil palm fruits.
Both victims sustained serious injuries to the head, body, back, arms, and thighs.
They were rushed to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan for further treatment.
The suspects, identified as Indonesian nationals Anuar, in his 40s, and Saril, in his 20s, fled the scene in the victims’ white Toyota Hilux Single Cab (registration number SAB7801P), taking along personal belongings, including important documents, mobile phones, and wallets.
