KOTA KINABALU: The KDCA Youth Council welcomed the Malaysian Government’s efforts to help in the rebuilding of Gaza, which has been severely impacted by its conflict with Israel.
However, the Council insists that priority should be given to the urgent needs of Malaysians, particularly in Sabah and Sarawak, where basic development continues to lag significantly behind.
KDCA Youth Council Chairman Steve Johnny Mositun said greater attention must be directed towards domestic issues which continue to affect the public.
These include the poor condition of roads, underfunded rural government schools and hospitals with inadequate facilities, as well as places of worship in need of restoration.
