Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor reiterated the State Government's appreciation for the continuing support from the Chinese community as partners in progress and development.
"With such solid support, I believe Sabah will always be on the right track under the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya development plan," he said at the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) Angpow Festival here on Sunday night.
His speech was delivered by Deputy Chief Minister cum Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.
Hajiji said the Chinese community in Sabah has long played an essential role in developing the economy, commerce, education, culture and social welfare, among others.
The State Government will continue to work with all like-minded organisations, including the FCAS, which value political stability, to ensure economic development and progress will not be impeded, he added.
Head of State Tun Musa Aman and his wife, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, graced the event.
