Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local industries.

He disclosed this during a visit to Colform Group Berhad’s new steel manufacturing plant here recently.

Phoong ssid the visit was aimed to understand the steel manufacturing process and explore avenues for government-industry collaboration to boost Sabah’s economic growth.

He highlighted the government’s dedication to ensuring the long-term viability of local players within the industrial supply chain, emphasizing a strategy that prioritizes both domestic industry support and the attraction of foreign investment.

Phoong’s visit to Colform, a company celebrating its recent listing on the Malaysian Stock Exchange, served as a testament to the growth and international competitiveness of Sabah’s industrial sector.

The minister expressed hope that this success will stimulate further opportunities and positive economic impact for the state, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration to strengthen Sabah’s industrial base and drive positive change.
