Kota Kinabalu: A 46-year-old pedestrian was killed in a suspected hit-and-run near the KK High School traffic lights, here, on Wednesday.

Nasri Karim, from Tanjung Aru, is believed to have been hit by a vehicle around 8.40pm. 

The vehicle is believed to be from Lido and heading towards Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 when the incident happened.

Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. 

This is the second known fatal accident involving pedestrians recorded within a week. 

On Jan 29, a 45-year-old woman was killed after a car crashed into her while she was jogging in front of ITCC Shopping Mall in Penampang.
