Tenom: Two semi-permanent houses were destroyed in two fires here and Keningau on Thursday and Wednesday respectively.
A semi-permanent house in Kampung Sri Menanti here was razed on Thursday evening.
The Fire and Rescue Department Station received a call at 1.01pm and 12 firefighters led by Operations Commander, Mudi Pengiran rushed to the scene with machinery.
The extinguishing operation was carried out using water from the fire engine.
In the incident, no victims were reported involved and after ensuring that there was no further danger, the operation ended at 1.50 pm.
In Keningau, a one-storey semi-permanent house in Kampung Kauran was destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning.
The Keningau Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 4.09am and 11 firemen led by Operations Commander, Hildi Jerad rushed to the scene with machinery.
Firemen used water source from machinery and a water tanker to extinguish a fire. The operation ended at 7.06am.
