KENINGAU: Two graves in Kampung Linsudan near here are at risk and family members are appealing to the relevant authorities to take immediate action.
The graves, which are on the verge of collapsing into the Pegalan River due to ongoing riverbank erosion.
Jaini Sipawon, 57, said if no assistance were provided soon, the grave will inevitably collapse and be swept away by the strong river currents.
He mentioned that the Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) had already inspected the site after it was reported in this newspaper in December 2024.
“At that time, the DID staff who conducted the survey assured us that they would address the issue in the long term by installing a retaining wall using blockstones,” he explained.
