Tenom: WSFC A Tenom clinched victory in the 2025 Nine-Team Football Friendly Tournament hosted by the Wira Sidang Injil Borneo Sabah at Padang Pekan Tenom on Saturday.
The tournament saw Trusmadi claiming second place, while Mendulong/Sipitang and the Pastors team tied for third position.
Champions WSFC A Tenom were awarded RM350 in prize money, with runners-up Trusmadi receiving RM300.
Both third-place teams, Mendulong/Sipitang and the Pastors team, took home RM250 each. The organisers also provided hampers and participation certificates to all competing teams.
Tournament Chairman Petrus Eddy Yahya said that the primary goal was to foster camaraderie among participants.
The two-day tournament, which kicked off on Jan 7, featured nine teams, WSFC A, WSFC B, Kemabong, Mendulong/Sipitang, Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Trusmadi, Nabawan and the Pastors team.
The event, organised by WSFC SIB Tenom Area, was officiated by Tenom Member of Parliament Riduan Rubin, who joined Petrus in presenting the awards to the winning teams.
