Kota Kinabalu: The Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) held their annual RSTC Fortune Bowl Cup on the fifth day of Chinese New Year 2025.
The event which was held at the horse racing track in Tambalang, Tuaran, offered prizes that amounted up to RM40,000.
The RSTC Fortune Bowl Cup Race is a Class A race on turf track with a distance of 1,900 metres.
After a fierce and intense competition, Summer Glitter emerged as the champion. Super Come came close in second place, followed by David’s Sling in third place and Kinabalu Warrior in fourth place.
The champion was awarded the prize of RM21,000, whereas the winners of second, third, and fourth places took home the prizes of RM8,200, RM4,000, and RM1,800 respectively.
This thrilling day featured a number of other exciting races. On top of these local races were “live” broadcast of thrilling horse races from Selangor and Australia. This had provided the audience an exhilarating and memorable experience.
Spectacular lion and dragon dances staged by Kelab Tarian Singa San Sheng Gung, Kota Kinabalu, further livened up the atmosphere.
The audience was given the opportunity to enjoy a vibrant celebration in a joyful environment.
Meanwhile RSTC Chairman Datuk Peter Chin, representing Management Committee members, wished everyone a Happy Chinese New Year.
