Kota Kinabalu: Petronas has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the media to highlight its resilience, innovation, and pursuit of a sustainable future.
Speaking at a Chinese New Year luncheon, Petronas Strategic Communications Senior General Manager Siti Azlina Abd Latif expressed appreciation for the media’s ongoing support and acknowledged their role in shaping public understanding.
“Your commitment to delivering news, information, and stories to the public has been instrumental in helping us reach our stakeholders, business partners and the broader community with our messages,” she said.
She noted that accurate reporting and mutual trust between Petronas and the media ensured clear and precise communication.
“We look forward to continuing our collaboration, creating credible stories highlighting our resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to a shared vision of a more sustainable future.”
Petronas remains dedicated to recognising journalistic excellence through its support of the Kinabalu Press Awards in Sabah, the Malaysian Press Institute – Petronas Malaysian Journalism Award, and the Kenyalang Journalism Awards in Sarawak.
“These awards are a testament to the power of journalism in shaping a more informed society, and we are honoured to stand alongside you in recognising the talent within the industry,” Siti Azlina said.
She thanked media members for their partnership and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the years ahead.
“May the Year of the Snake bring us success, prosperity, and continued collaboration,” she said.
Over 40 media practitioners, including editors and bureau chiefs, attended the luncheon.
Also present were Petronas Vice President of Group Strategic Relations and Communications Nooruddin Abdullah, Petronas Sabah and Labuan General Manager Siti Ayu Haniza Abdul Wahab and Sabah Journalists’ Association (SJA) President Datuk Muguntan Vanar.
