Kota Kinabalu: The Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) strengthened diplomatic and business ties with Japan through a visit and networking dinner with the newly appointed Japanese Ambassador, Shikata Noriyuki.

During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration, with FSI showcasing upcoming events including the 11th Sabah International Expo and the 8th Sabah International Coffee Festival. 

FSI President Richard Lim extended invitations to the Japanese Embassy for various 2025 and 2026 events, including the 42nd FSI Nite and expo activities.

In return, Shikata invited FSI to participate in the upcoming Osaka, Kansai, Japan Expo 2025, and displaying mutual interest in fostering stronger international partnerships.
