Kota Kinabalu: Sabah DAPSY Chief, Chan Loong Wei, accused Warisan of selectively targeting DAP while remaining silent on others.
“Under the leadership of DAP ministers, we have seen significant federal allocations and policy advancements benefiting Sabah.
“Minister of Transport Anthony Loke announced RM572 million for the upgrade of Kota Kinabalu International Airport and Tawau Airport.
“Minister of Housing and Local Government Nga Kor Ming has allocated RM217 million for infrastructure development across the state in 2024.
“Additionally, after two decades of stagnation, Sabah’s Labour Ordinance was finally amended under the leadership of DAP’s Minister of Human Resources, Steven Sim,” Chan said.
“Furthermore, in 2023, Sabah emerged as Malaysia’s top-performing state in the manufacturing sector, achieving 4.4pc growth, far exceeding the national average of 0.8pc.
“This is the result of DAP’s leadership in industrial development under Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe,” Chan said.
Chan questioned Warisan’s double standards and challenged Warisan Youth Chief Terence Au to evaluate Warisan’s own leadership performance, particularly that of Deputy Minister Datuk Yusof Apdal, over the past three years.
“What has Warisan’s Deputy Minister achieved during his tenure under two different portfolios?”
