PENAMPANG: The first TikTok Shop Live Hub here was launched in collaboration with Tekun Nasional to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sabah through e-commerce opportunities.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the initiative is crucial in strengthening Malaysia’s e-commerce ecosystem, particularly in Sabah, by fostering digital business growth and innovation.
The partnership also provides business owners access to funding and training to help them establish a strong presence in the digital marketplace.
Tekun Nasional and TikTok Shop Malaysia aim to set up 12 Live Hub Studios across six states, including Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Kelantan, and Sarawak.
TikTok Shop Malaysia Strategic Partnerships Director Nur Azre Abdul Aziz highlighted that nearly RM3 million will be invested to develop these hubs, enabling local MSMEs to leverage live streaming for business growth.
