KOTA KINABALU: The flood situation in Sabah has fully recovered, with the last temporary relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sukau in Kinabatangan officially closed tonight.
The State Disaster Management Committee secretariat reported that 54 individuals from 13 families who had sought shelter at the centre have been allowed to return home.
“This decision was made in line with recommendations from the Kinabatangan District Disaster Management Committee and monitoring by relevant agencies in the affected areas,” it said in a statement.
The committee also expressed its gratitude to all agencies involved for their cooperation during the floods.
