Motorists stressed over many potholes
Potholes (left) were blamed for bursting this car’s tyre and damaging its rim (right).
KUNAK: Many motorists using the main federal road route of Kunak – Lahad Datu, here, said they often faced tense situations when confronted with pothole-filled roads in the area.

Social media has become the platform of choice to share images of their burst tyres and damaged rims after driving through such roads, compounded by unpredictable weather such as rain, which makes it difficult for them to identify which parts of the road are safe.

The most severely affected location is from the Sg Dewata Bridge to the Simpang QL Plantation, where there are many potholes that are widening in both directions and are filled with water during rain.

“This condition makes driving difficult, especially at night,” said one motorist especially for small vehicles.
