Car crashes into safety railing, killing driver
The safety railing pierced through the car.
Tuaran: A 28-year-old Penang-born Chinese man was killed when his Perodua Aruz crashed into collided a roadside safety railing at Berungis along Jalan Tuaran., on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 5:30pm. The victim was reportedly traveling from Kota Kinabalu to Tamparuli and is believed to have lost control of the vehicle.

The impact sent the railing to pierce through the driver’s seat and into the rear of the car.  The victim sustained injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash caused a traffic congestion along Tuaran-Tamparuli with authorities working for hours to clear debris and restore normal traffic flow.
