Kota Kinabalu: Schools and non-Islamic religious organisations as well as bodies are urged to submit their application forms for State Government financial assistance this year before the March 31 deadline.
These include Chinese national-type schools (SJKC), national-type secondary schools (SMJK), private secondary schools, independent schools and kindergartens, as well as non-Islamic religious organisations and bodies — such as churches, temples and shrines.
Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Datuk Dr Roland Chia Ming Shen, said applications for State Government financial assistance were open in early January.
“Application forms can be collected and returned at the Budget Division, Finance Ministry, Level 5, Block C, Menara Kinabalu, Jalan Teluk Likas, Tanjung Lipat, Kota Kinabalu. The grant application forms can also be obtained and downloaded from the official website of the Sabah Finance Ministry:
www.mof.sabah.gov.my.”
Dr Chia said the financial assistance allocation for non-Islamic religious bodies this year is the highest in Sabah’s history, under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, amounting to RM70 million.
“This allocation was announced by State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun during the tabling of the 2025 State Budget,” he said, expressing hope that the allocation would help ease the financial burden on the schools and organisations.
