What bazaar traders must comply with
Mizma said that cleanliness and food quality should be the top priority for traders to prevent any unwanted incidents.
LAHAD DATU: Ramadan bazaar traders in the district are reminded to maintain cleanliness and adhere to the ethics and procedures set by the authorities, said Segama Community Development Leader, Datuk Mizma Appehdullah.

She said that cleanliness and food quality should be the top priority for traders to prevent any unwanted incidents.

Other than that, she said that traders must also comply with the regulations and procedures established by the authorities to ensure a smooth operation of the Ramadan bazaar.

“The state government, through the Lahad Datu District Council (MDLD), has provided opportunities for traders to operate at designated bazaar sites during Ramadan.

“Therefore, we hope that all traders remain honest and transparent, such as not subletting their stalls to others, while also maintaining food quality,” she said.

Mizma made these remarks while representing District Officer Firuz Idzualdeen Mohd Dzul at the 2025 Ramadan bazaar lot draw on Thursday.

In her speech, she reminded bazaar operators to hire workers with proper identification documents and to comply with health check procedures and other necessary regulations.

She also urged traders to set reasonable prices for their goods.

“I hope all traders make the most of this opportunity to run their businesses effectively while ensuring cleanliness and the quality of the food they sell,” she said.

This year, five Ramadan bazaar sites have been opened for traders and visitors, including I-Peak Business Centre, Fajar Centre, Perdana Square, Kampung Muhibbah, and Jalan Kemuning.
