Maid’s murder: Decision on  contractor, ex-wife April 11
Mohammad Ambree Yunos @ Unos, 43, and Etiqah Siti Noorashikeen Mohd Sulong, 36, are accused of murdering Nur Afiyah Daeng Damin, 28, between Dec 8 and 11, 2021, at a unit in Amber Tower, Lido Avenue Condominium, Penampang.
Kota Kinabalu: The High Court here has set April 11 for the decision on a contractor and his now former wife in the murder of their maid four years ago.

Judge Datuk Dr Lim Hock Leng fixed the date following the clarification of submissions by both the defence and prosecution at the conclusion of the defence case.

The trial commenced on June 24, 2024, with 17 witnesses, including two from the defence, being called to testify.

On Oct 2, 2024, the court ordered them to enter their defence after ruling that the prosecution had established a prima facie case against them.

Ambree and Etiqah, each the sole witness in their respective defence, gave evidence under oath on Oct 21 and Dec 2 last year.

Ambree is defended by counsel Datuk Ram Singh and Prem Elmer while counsel Datuk Seri Rakhbir Singh defended Etiqah.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Dacia Jane Romanus prosecuted.

Both accused remain on court bail.
