KOTA KINABALU: The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop) has introduced the Ehsan@Kuskop programme as a targeted initiative to eradicate poverty in three identified districts in Sabah this year.
Its Minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick (

He emphasised that the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s priority agenda to eliminate hardcore poverty nationwide.
“In line with this agenda and the Prime Minister’s mandate to focus on addressing hardcore poverty, Kuskop is implementing the Look East Within the Country Policy this year, with additional focus on Sabah and Sarawak,” he said in the Dewan Negara today.
Ewon added that in collaboration with Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR), funded by Bank Rakyat, the programme will provide targeted assistance, including entrepreneurship support and educational opportunities, with the first phase focusing on education development aid for eKasih’s hardcore poor and poor households in the three districts.
