TUARAN: A man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle, believed to be a car, in an early morning hit-and-run on Jalan Gayang today.

The accident, which occurred at around 6.30am, left the victim with severe head and body injuries, resulting in his death at the scene.

District police chief Supt Noraidin Ag Maidin confirmed that the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the crash site.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim’s motorcycle was hit by a car, whose driver fled the scene after the collision.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and police are urging anyone with information to contact traffic investigator Insp Haffiz at 011-61600964 or the nearest police station.
