Kota Kinabalu: City Hall (DBKK) announced the extension of the temporary closure of part of Taman Tun Fuad Stephens to facilitate the development of the Sabah Botanical Garden project.
Its Complaints and Public Affairs Director Puan Jainab Saidi said the closure, which was originally scheduled to end earlier, will now continue from Feb 20 to May 21, 2025 for safety reasons.
But other facilities such as Restoran Nelayan, Dewan Putra and the Bukit Padang hawker stalls will continue to operate as usual.
“During this period, all recreational activities within the affected area will not be permitted.
However, alternative parks such as Taman Awam Teluk Likas, Taman Ujana Rimba Tropika, Taman Awam Tanjung Aru remain open for public use,” she said.
