Kota Kinabalu: Warisan leaders raised concern over potential landslides at Taman Winley, Kepayan, questioning whether proper environmental impact assessments (EIA) were conducted before hillside development was approved.

This comes after a recent landslide at Lok Bonu, Jalan Sepanggar, claimed the life of a mother on Wednesday morning, just after she and her injured son had their pre-dawn meal.

Long-time Taman Winley resident Conidon Wong, who has lived in the area for more than 50 years, said he had lodged several complaints with City Hall (DBKK) but no action was taken.

He noted that landslides had already occurred twice this year on Jan 22 and Feb 2.
