Number of flood evacuees in Sabah rises

Kota Kinabalu: The number of flood evacuees in Sabah rose this morning to 4,122 from 1,357 families from 3,579 from 1,203 families yesterday.

State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) Secretariat reported that 743 people from 276 families were being housed at eight relief centres in Tenom as at 8 am.

Beaufort has 1,339 evacuees from 432 families at four relief centres while Membakut has 872 evacuees from 293 families at two centres.

In Sook, two relief centres housed 1,031 people from 241 families while in Keningau, two centres had 137 people from 51 families.
