Woman's left leg amputated following Segama floor collapse
KOTA KINABALU: A Chinese national had her left leg amputated after sustaining severe injuries when a restaurant ceiling collapsed last Friday (March 7) evening.

Her husband confirmed the amputation was necessary and said she also suffered a spinal injury, requiring further surgery, The Star reported.

The couple was visiting Sabah to help their son, who operates the Chinese halal restaurant in a rented space in Segama.

Authorities are investigating the building’s structural integrity after reports of leaks and falling concrete.
