RM60,000 false claims: Construction company owner held 
The suspect allegedly submitted false claims that did not comply with the actual specifications to a State Government agency, involving repair works on four houses under the Hardcore Poor People’s Housing Programme (PPRT) in one of the districts in Sabah, with an estimated cost of RM15,000 per house.
Kota Kinabalu: A construction company owner has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly submitting claims amounting to approximately RM60,000 containing false details.

The male suspect, in his 40s, was detained at around 10am while giving his statement at the MACC Tawau office, Tuesday. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to have committed the offence in 2021.

Sabah MACC Director Datuk S. Karunanithy, when contacted, confirmed the arrest and said the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act (MACC Act) 2009.

He said the suspect was released after his statement was recorded, on a bail of RM2,000 with one surety.
