Kota Kinabalu: The HyperLive Impact Influencer Festival and Awards 2025 held here, recently, has set the bar sky-high for future international cultural events in Sabah.
Assistant Finance Minister, Datuk Tan Lee Fatt, said the festival displayed the potential within every individual to bring about positive change in society.
“This festival is historic, as it is the first time in Malaysia that four world-class autistic pianists are performing together on one stage, right here in Sabah,” he said.
He noted that the concert was a perfect example that greatness knows no limits and resilience recognises no boundaries.
“These musicians are living proof that, when nurtured and supported, talent can transcend any challenges,” he said.
Heaping praise on the festival’s visionary, Dr Sean Wong, Tan acknowledged how Wong had bent over backward to support Sabah’s tourism industry, bringing international recognition while elevating local communities through his influential platform.
“His commitment extends far beyond organising world-class events, he is truly bringing the world to Sabah.
“As we welcome influencers, digital creators and thought leaders from across the globe, many of whom are experiencing Sabah’s beauty for the first time, we witness the impact of his vision,” he said.
“I encourage Sean to continue this journey of attracting global audiences and showcasing the culture, hospitality and spirit of our people,” he added.
In a call to action that struck a chord with attendees, he urged continued support for such initiatives, describing them as events that uplift individuals, empower communities and establish Sabah as a global hub for culture, talent and inspiration.
