British climber rescued after injury on Mount Kinabalu

RANAU: A 34-year-old British woman was rescued by the Mountain Search and Rescue (Mosar) team after sustaining an ankle injury while descending Mount Kinabalu.

The distress call was received at 8.50am, and a nine-member Mosar team arrived at KM6.6 of the trail by 9.08am.

The climber was given first aid before being brought to Timpohon Gate using a Robinson stretcher. 

She was later handed over to an ambulance for further treatment.
