KOTA BELUD: Police arrested four motorcyclists for various traffic offences and vehicle modifications that disturbed residents near the Lebak Moyoh traffic lights on the Tuaran-Kota Belud road in the wee hours of Saturday.
Five officers, including personnel from the Kota Belud District Police Headquarters’ Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, were deployed for the operation.
The operation targeted illegal motorcycle speed testing and traffic violations that posed dangers to the riders and disrupted public order.
The four motorcycles were inspected, and the riders, aged 17 to 24, were issued traffic summonses for multiple offences, with all vehicles seized under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police launched the operation following public complaints about reckless riding and noise disturbances, with continued monitoring and enforcement measures planned to curb such activities.
