KOTA KINABALU: The number of pre-implementation Federal development projects in Sabah has reduced following coordinated monitoring efforts between the Federal and State governments, said Sabah Federal Development Project Monitoring Coordination Intervention Committee chairman Datuk Ewon Benedick.

A total of 207 projects were initially recorded in January, but the figure has since dropped to 176 as some projects progressed to the implementation stage.

The intervention committee overseeing Federal development projects in Sabah focuses on initiatives under the Education and Health Ministries.

Of the 57 education-related projects, 14 have commenced, 19 are in the procurement or tendering phase, and the rest are under further review.
