LAHAD DATU: Two motorcyclists were killed after crashing into each other at Jalan Felda Sahabat 40, on Friday.
District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said both deceased were identified as 43-year-old Indonesian and 17-year-old Filipino.
He said the result of investigation on the scene revealed that the accident occurred when the Filipino, riding the Suzuki motorcycle lost control and entered the opposite direction.
The Suzuki motorcycle then collided head-on with the oncoming Indonesian man’s motorcycle that was heading towards Kembara Sakti from Felda Sahabat 30.
Both motorcyclists succumbed to serious head injuries at the scene. Police sent their bodies to the hospital.
Jimmy said blood samples were taken from both victims for alcohol and drug tests.
He said the case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
