PGRS: Decision to defend ‘whistleblower’ puzzling
Fairuz (left) also criticised ex-MACC head Latheefa Koya’s (right) action of defending the so-called whistleblower who released nine videos and messages regarding the Sabah corruption controversy.
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Youth Chef Datuk Fairuz Rendda said that the State Government led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor will not compromise with the malicious intentions of cartels that want to profit from Sabah’s resources.

“The Chief Minister took firm action by rejecting 21 mining licenses and we continuously support this noble effort because we do not want Sabah’s natural resources to be seized by irresponsible external parties,” he said.

“We will not bow to that cartel or any party that intends to monopolise Sabah’s wealth, which is why the decision to reject the licences was made.“This involves the rights of Sabah’s people, so it is appropriate for us to protect them to ensure the interests of Sabah’s people are safeguarded,” he said.

Additionally, the Pintasan Assemblyman said the State Government does not want to associate with problematic individuals who try to make Sabah a place to “hide”.
