KIULU: A pilot project for digital tourism data collection has been launched in Kiulu to enhance the recording of tourist arrivals in rural Sabah.

The project, a collaboration between the Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and Kiulu Tourism Association, uses an application developed by Datablu to assist operators in managing activities more professionally.

Joniston highlighted that from January to November 2024, 85 community-based tourism operators from 18 districts submitted data, recording 269,154 visitors and generating over RM6.5 million in revenue.
