KOTA KINABALU: To combat rising youth drug abuse, the Lions Clubs of Sabah District 308-A2 are screening the powerful anti-drug film "No More Drugs" here and in Sandakan and Tawau.
Organising chairperson Alyssa Lim said the screenings, targeting 6,800 youths, parents, and the public, aim to raise awareness and encourage preventive action.
“This film highlights real-life struggles to help young people make informed decisions and say no to drugs,” Lim told a press conference here on Monday.
"No More Drugs" is a Sarawakian film based on ex-gangster Makasun’s true story, exposing the harsh realities of drug abuse and its impact on society.
The free screenings will start on March 21 at Kian Kok Middle School, Tshung Tsin Secondary School, and Glory Christian Centre.
The launch ceremony will be on March 22 at City Cineplex, City Mall.
