SANDAKAN: A landslide occurred at Jalan Cecily on Thursday following continuous rain since Wednesday.

Police initially cordoned off the road towards Mile 4 and Cecily, but the public later removed the barrier.

Meanwhile, floods hit Kampung Pertanian Batu 25 and Kampung Sungai Memanjang, prompting Sandakan Municipal Council President Walter Kenson to declare a disaster and open two evacuation centres at nearby mosques.
