RANAU: A trailer carrying seven Proton Saga cars was veered off the road and plunged 50 feet down an embankment along Kg. Nobutan, Jalan Ranau-Sandakan earlier today.

The Ranau Fire and Rescue Station received the emergency call at 11.46 am, and a team of six firefighters was dispatched to the scene. The team arrived at 12.23 pm, covering a distance of 30 kilometers.

Upon arrival, responders found that the accident also caused damage to a nearby house after a tree was uprooted and fell onto the structure.

Fortunately, the trailer driver escaped unharmed and no other casualties were reported. After ensuring there were no further hazards, the operation ended at 12.50 pm.
