Kota Kinabalu: ACP Alhusin Halil has assumed the role of the new Sabah Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department Chief (JSJN), replacing ACP Zulkepli Hashim, with immediate effect.
Alhusin who previously was part of the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) Criminal Investigation Department Special Investigation will be replacing Zulkepli who will assume the same post at IPK Kuala Lumpur.
The handover ceremony was held at Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) auditorium on Thursday, witnessed by Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun.
Earlier in his speech, Jauteh congratulated Alhusin and urged him to lead the department with commitment along with integrity while at the same time expressing gratitude to Zulkepli for his contributions to the police force, particularly in dismantling high-profile drug syndicates.
“Hopefully, this appointment will give new motivation to be more committed, sincere and progressive to drive authorities, especially the Sabah police contingent, to a more excellent level,” he said.
He also emphasised to all officers and members present to continuously carry out their duties professionally and provide services based on integrity and good governance.
“(We should also) place emphasis on the ideal Body Mass Index (BMI) and physical fitness among all levels of PDRM officers in line with compliance with the BMI standards set under BMI 28.
“Compliance with the set BMI standards is among the mandatory conditions for confirmation of position, promotion, receiving medals and the Excellent Service Award (APC) to ensure that all personnel are fit, physically competent and healthy to carry out any task, in addition to making the force looking good in uniform at all times,” he added.
