KOTA KINABALU: Parti KDM has refuted claims that Melalap assemblyman Datuk Peter Anthony (pic) has sought a royal pardon, clarifying that he has only applied for a judicial review.

Peter is contesting the Court of Appeal’s 4 March decision, which upheld his conviction and sentence for falsifying documents linked to a 2014 Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) contract. 

The judicial review application was filed last week, and a case management date will be set soon.

KDM stressed that reports suggesting a royal pardon application were inaccurate, stating that the legal process remains at the judicial review stage.
