BEIJING: A woman’s hand recently became stuck in her boyfriend’s mouth after a failed attempt at a social media challenge in China’s Jilin province, according to Chinese media Dahebao.

The couple had watched a viral video of a man attempting to "eat" a woman's fist and decided to test if the girlfriend’s fist could fit into the boyfriend’s mouth.

However, the March 18 stunt took a turn when the man's mouth went into a muscle spasm, preventing them from pulling the hand out as his face turned red and he began salivating uncontrollably.

Realising they needed help, they rushed to the hospital, drawing public attention.

Yahoo Taiwan reported that a doctor played music to calm the man and administered muscle relaxants, successfully freeing the woman’s hand after 20 minutes.
