 Police have identified three accident-prone areas along the federal route of Jalan Kunak-Lahad Datu, specifically at Kilometres 22, 32, and 34.

Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (JSPT) listed these locations as high-risk due to steep and winding roads and slippery conditions during rain.

Traffic police will be stationed at selected locations and conduct patrols throughout Op Selamat from March 29 to April 3 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Motorists are urged to conduct safety checks on their vehicles before embarking on long-distance travel due to increased road traffic during the festive period.

Drivers are also reminded to remain patient, courteous, and compliant with traffic laws while on the road.
