NABAWAN: A 10-door longhouse will be built here to accommodate 34 Heads of Households (KIR) from Kampung Saliman Pagalungan, affected by the recent landslide disaster which made their homes unsafe.

Nabawan Assemblyman Datuk Abdul Ghani Mohamed Yassin said the proposed suitable site for the construction would be discussed and coordinated with the Nabawan District Office and the Pagalungan Sub-District.

“For the first phase, we will request a longhouse containing 10 rooms to accommodate the families who have lost their homes,” he said after surveying the aftermath of the landslide in Kampung Saliman Pagalungan.

He said the relocation plan will be carried out in stages as other residents also wish to move due to the condition of the village area, which is facing the threat of landslides.
