PETALING JAYA: The road transport department (JPJ) seized a Lamborghini Aventador driven by a 28-year-old content creator after he was found to be driving without a licence during a Hari Raya Aidilfitri integrated operation in Jalan Bangsar last night.
The Chinese national was driving to his home in Damansara Heights with his girlfriend after attending the launch of a fast-food restaurant in Kepong, reported Bernama.
Federal territories JPJ director Hamidi Adam said the car was among 27 vehicles seized during the operation, from a total of 1,627.
“We also issued 463 compound notices for various offences such as driving without a licence, no road tax, no insurance, and vehicle modifications,” he added.
The operation involved 115 personnel and officers from agencies such as JPJ, the police, immigration department, and the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK).
The police inspected 60 vehicles and issued 30 summonses while the immigration department checked 29 foreign nationals and arrested one man and two Indonesian women.
AADK conducted urine screening tests on 37 individuals and arrested two men and one woman who tested positive for marijuana.
Hamidi said that the federal territories JPJ issued 4,559 notices for various traffic violations during the 2025 Hari Raya Aidilfitri special operation which started on March 24 and ended yesterday.
A total of 15,490 vehicles were inspected at several key locations around the capital, with 1,729 facing enforcement action and 24 seized under the Road Transport Act 1987.
Hamidi said the operation was carried out to ensure road safety, particularly during the festive season, and to reduce the number of accidents through enforcement action and advocacy.
