Boars gone viral
A still from the viral video.
KOTA KINABALU: A 23-second video of wild boars sprinting through roadside jungle terrain at an undisclosed location has gone viral, sparking a flurry of amused reactions online.

Shared by a Facebook user on Wednesday, the clip clocked over a million views, 10,000 reactions, and 1,000 comments and shares in less than 24 hours.

Adding to the hilarity, the videographer repeatedly shouts “pusas!”—a local term for drinking snacks—while filming the stampeding animals.

As of April this year, there have been no official announcements regarding lifting the wild boar hunting ban in Sabah.

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
The ban, enforced by the Sabah Wildlife Department, remains in place due to the slow rebound of the wild boar population following the 2021 African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak.
