Flood disaster declared in Nabawan
Floodwaters inundate parts of Nabawan early Friday.
NABAWAN: The Nabawan District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) has declared a flood disaster in the district, effective from 5:30am today (Friday).

Nabawan District Officer Ts Marshal Anthony @ Idham issued the declaration based on field reports from JPBD agencies.

As of 10:30am, four schools have been closed due to the floods—SK Kampung Enam, SK Kampung Bahagia, SK Pekan Nabawan, and SMK Nabawan, according to the District Education Officer. Schools are currently preparing a full report on the situation.

A Daily Express survey found several villages affected, including Kampung Bahagia, Kampung Kalas, Kampung Murni, Kampung Lima, Kampung Loboh, Kampung Enam, and Kampung Salarom Baru.
