Depends what’s best for Sabah: Upko
Ewon, also the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister, highlighted the importance of unity and mutual respect among Malaysia’s diverse communities as the foundation for political stability and progress.
Kota Kinabalu: United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) president Datuk Ewon Benedick said Sabah’s interests will be paramount in any future political alliances.

With the upcoming state election, UPKO is currently engaged in discussions with various national and local coalitions.

While informal negotiations are underway with parties within Pakatan Harapan and other regional blocs, Ewon stressed that any collaboration must ultimately benefit Sabahans.

He stated that Upko’s political decisions will be guided by a commitment to development, inclusivity, and social harmony for the people of Sabah.
