Hairdresser claims trial to having another person’s MyKad
The charge under Section 25(1)(o) of the National Registration Regulations 1990 (Amended 2007), carries a jail term of up to three years or fine of up to RM20,000 or both on conviction.
Kota Kinabalu: A 21-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here Thursday with having someone else’s MyKad.

Hairdresser Muhd Rizky Abd Fattah pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Marilyn Kelvin to keeping one Mohd Syawal Fitri Belona’s identity card without lawful authority on April 15, this year, at 11.30am, in a rented room at Api-Api Centre here.

Inspector Yusdi Basri prosecuting, in applying for a pre-trial case management (ptcm) proposed bail at RM5,000.

In another case, a 24-year-old man claimed trial to a charge of assaulting a man using a machete as a weapon.

Unemployed Arnold Anthony allegedly committed the offence against one Arfael Avellino Alfred with the machete on April 10, this year, at 8pm, at Kg Pomotodon, Inanam near here.

Arnold was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code.

The prosecution proposed bail at RM5,000 while duty counsel Lim Ming Zoong @ Lawrence requested a lower bail amount.

Marilyn set June 9 for ptcm and offered the accused bail at RM1,700 in two sureties.
