Kota Kinabalu: A 30-year-old man was fined RM25 or three days jail for threatening to hurt his girlfriend.
Razi Jess pleaded guilty before Magistrate Marilyn Kelvin Thursday to threatening and causing hurt to Parhanah 28, by the roadside of Hospital Queen Elizabeth here on April 10 at 10.20pm.
The offence under Section 8(1)(e) of the Sabah Minor Offences Ordinance provides a fine of RM25, on conviction.
Based on the facts of the case the girlfriend got angry and slapped Razi, that led him to slap, kick and threaten with the words, “I don’t care if you die, just die”.
Meanwhile, a man was fined RM100 or three months jail for failing to give a satisfactory explanation for having two white sacks filled with different kinds of scrap metal believed to be stolen.
Eric David pleaded guilty to the offence at Wong Kwok Development site, Menggatal, here on Apr 10, at 8.40am.
The offence, under Section 22A (1) of the Minor Offences Ordinance, provides for a fine of RM100 or up to three months’ jail, on conviction.
The facts of the case stated when the complainant saw two men, one of them Eric, carrying two sacks by the riverside near the site. The complainant then contacted the police for assistance in locating the Eric who is believed to have the stolen items.
