A 47-year-old woman died after the Perodua Alza she was travelling in crashed into the rear of a stationary tour bus along Jalan Sulaman Gayang here on Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle had veered off the road before colliding with the parked bus, leaving both occupants trapped in the wreckage.

Fire and Rescue personnel extricated the victims from the vehicle.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel, while another 18-year-old male victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The scene was later declared safe, and the victim's body was handed over to the police for further action.
